SUMMARY:Immersive & Experiential Learning Cafe: Coffee\, conversation\, and collaboration
DESCRIPTION:Curious about immersive and experiential learning? Join us for a relaxed morning conversation over coffee and light refreshments. \n  \nWe’ll share highlights and emerging ideas from the Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) 2026 conference\, then turn the conversation to what’s happening here at JIBC. From role play and simulations to AI\, virtual and augmented reality\, we’ll explore how colleagues are using—or thinking about using—immersive and experiential approaches to support teaching and learning. \n  \nWe’ll also talk honestly about the journey: what’s working\, what isn’t\, what we’ve learned from projects that have evolved or changed direction\, and how sharing those lessons can help future initiatives succeed. \n  \nMost importantly\, this is a chance to connect and exchange ideas. Bring your questions\, experiences\, and curiosity\, and explore opportunities to collaborate with CTLI and colleagues across JIBC on future projects\, presentations\, research\, and knowledge sharing. \n  \nWho should attend?\nAnyone interested in immersive and experiential learning is welcome including faculty\, instructional designers\, educational developers\, researchers\, and staff. Whether you’re already experimenting with these approaches or simply wondering where to start\, there’s a place for you in the conversation. \nCoffee and light refreshments will be provided.
