The new online course is more interactive and engaging than ever. One new and innovative strategy in the design was the use of realistic scenarios and instructional videos created with immersive 3D technology.

Revamp/remodel of existing curriculum in connection with Basic Security Training, online course.

Online course has a number of scenarios which are highlighted by the use of video’s/avatars to demonstrate the objective

 

 

PROBLEMS OR CHALLENGES FACED?

Curriculum is owned by the Provincial Government. Challenges: it has been a number of years since the curriculum was updated, more than a decade. Curriculum needed to meet the needs of government/security licensing and student learning needs.

LESSONS LEARNED

Understanding the scope of the project as it was larger than expected. Because of this, timelines had to be adjusted and extended.
