Here is another Faculty Development Event for JIBC faculty and staff:

As the popularity of open education and the use of OERs grow so does the need for innovation in teaching and educational technology.

In this video presentation, Richard Baraniuk, Director of Open Stax College,introduces us to the idea of open education, the role that technology plays in it based on a case study at Rice University and finally short and long term implications of where OERs might be heading.

The video is 55 min and the screening will start at 12, but feel free to come and go as you wish.
