What is DemoFest?
DemoFest is JIBC’s annual celebration of teaching and learning innovation. Educators, instructional designers, staff, and students come together to share experiments, showcase projects, and spark new ideas across two energetic days of programming, community, and inspiration.
Whether you’re here to present, explore, or simply get inspired, there’s something at DemoFest for everyone. We love seeing friends from across BC’s post-secondary sector join us too.

Call for Participation
Have a project, tool, course design, or teaching experiment worth sharing? We want to see it! DemoFest is built by the community and your work is what makes Day 2 come alive.
Submit your project to be featured at DemoFest 2026. All JIBC educators, staff, and students are invited. We welcome projects at every stage — pilots, works in progress, and finished innovations alike.
Interested in participating? Submit your Proposal by July 31, 2026. Participant confirmations will be shared in September 2026.

Everyone is welcome! DemoFest is open to all JIBC educators, staff, and students, as well as colleagues from other BC post-secondary institutions, BCcampus, and the broader education community.
Demofest is free to attend.
