Fostering Student Engagement with Liberating Structures (Part 2)

Discover the practical impact of Liberating Structures on student engagement. Liberating Structures are a collection of simple, adaptable teaching methods (33+ and growing) that make it easier to spark participation, deepen reflection, and generate ideas—without adding a lot of extra prep.
Across two interactive virtual sessions (you can attend one or both), you’ll experience Liberating Structures you can use right away in online or in-person classes. You’ll participate in activities which invite more voices into the room while discussing real teaching challenges such as AI in education and assessment practices. You’ll leave knowing how to find Liberating Structures resources and communities which will help you continue to experiment and learn.
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Explain what Liberating Structures are and how they can increase student reflection and engagement
- Identify several Liberating Structures you could use in your post-secondary teaching context
- Locate resources and communities to support continued practice with Liberating Structures
Who Should Attend: This training is ideal for faculty, staff, and those who facilitate workshops or training.
