Faculty Development Event: Popcorn Maker

A great faculty development event was presented by Helen Lee (Program Manager Instructional Design at CTLI) on Thursday April 23. The subject of this session was hacking and remixing of already existing videos and materials online.

Popcorn Maker is a browser-based platform developed by Mozilla Webmakers, which is great for the purpose of remixing. You can retrieve videos from websites and overlay texts, maps, images and other information on top.

Think about this question:

How can hacking/remixing videos be applied in courses and/or activities?
