Invitation: JIBC Teaching & Learning Collaborative (TLC)

The Centre for Teaching Learning and Innovation is excited to invite staff and faculty who are working in teaching and learning development roles to join the JIBC Teaching and Learning Collaborative (TLC).

Purpose

With a variety of staff focused on advancing teaching and learning practices as well as educational technology innovation across a number of schools and divisions at the JIBC, the purpose of this group will be to serve as a place of connection and knowledge sharing.

Who Should Join

Those who have a role (or direct interest) in designing and developing teaching and learning are welcome to participate, including the following activities and responsibilities:

Instructional Design
Curriculum Development

Multimedia & Web Development
Educational Technology Development
Facilitation and Instruction
Resource Development
Program Management
Educational Research

Please note that the group is not exclusive and is not restricted to specific job titles. The TLC is open to all who are interested in taking part. Please feel free to forward this invitation to colleagues.

How to Participate

The TLC is not intended to feel like ‘extra work’ for participants. Nothing is mandatory but regular participation is encouraged to build relationships and get the most out of both the informal and planned activities. We anticipate planning 3-4 structured activities a year and ad hoc meet ups and communication throughout the year. Participants are also welcome to host a ½ hour meet up/café on a topic of their choice anytime.

There is a Teams TLC channel set up where we will have ongoing discussions and share resources.
