This investigation will explore the current use, needs, and barriers in learning technology and innovation to enhance teaching and learning at JIBC, drawing on perspectives from students, instructors, and administrators.
The investigation will be guided by three questions:
1. How are learning technologies currently being used in teaching and learning?
2. What needs are currently unmet for students, instructors, and administrators?
3.. What barriers prevent effective use of technology and capability to innovate (e.g., access, integration, support, pedagogy)?
By gathering perspectives from different departments and divisions, the investigation will surface recommendations and strategies — from faculty development and support to technology investment and integration.
The findings will directly support CTLI’s role in advancing effective and innovative teaching and learning, and will be critically aligned with JIBC’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan: For the Greater Good, particularly the core commitments of “Pursuing Education & Training Excellence”.
