By Eddy Conroy and Jesse Stommel | jessestommel.com

We need to be thinking about how we respond in the moment to this emergent crisis, but it’s just as important that we talk about sustainable ways forward. What we are facing right now will have an effect on education that lasts years (or longer), and it’s exposing inequities and systemic injustices that many students have faced all along. Read More

The Faculty Experience During a Pandemic: Survey Results

From BCcampus | bccampus.ca

Interesting Finds

New Resources from CTLI:

  • Faculty Online Readiness Quiz – The Faculty Online Readiness Quiz is used as a self-assessment to prepare for your courses online. It will take about 5 minutes to complete. The new academic year will be different and the JIBC community wants to support our faculty in our shared commitment to creating rich, inclusive environments for learning, and pursuing excellence in learning.
  • Instructional Continuity Checklist for Faculty – We want to support and prepare our faculty for continued successful instruction to our students. We recommend that faculty take some time to plan a course of action that best suits your teaching preferences, your curriculum-specific needs and characteristics of your students. Download the pre-delivery checklist as a guideline to your planning process.

Blackboard Training Workshops for LESD/BLES and PBDLESSC (Recordings):

Last week, CTLI ran a faculty bootcamp series for those teaching in the upcoming fall semester for LESD, BLES and PBDLES programs. We ran three sessions in three days, and recorded it all to share! Have a look at the recordings below.
