On April 24 & 25th, 2024, Naz and I had the pleasure of joining a 2-day Professional Development Retreat for Post Secondary Educators. This retreat was co-organized by SFU’s Moving Together in the Ways of the People organizer Fiona Shaw, David Suzuki Foundation and Camp Fircom

Over the transformational 2-days, we shared many fireside dialogues with the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Indigenous Elder, walked and reflected on the land and water that gave us life, and connected with like-minded educators to reflect our current ways of teaching and learning.

We’ve put together a slideshow to help share our experience over the two days below. Click the arrows to move through the slideshow.

You can find more information about the 2-day workshop for educators. There is another one coming up in October 2024 for those who are interested.

Here is a list of post-retreat resources for further reading and viewing.
