For me, engaging in EDI practices is about applying equity minded perspectives to everything I do. It’s about knowing my student and their “context” as individuals so I can support and guide them to achieve their learning goals and have a positive learning experience. I know how it feels to be excluded, so every student starts my class with a course textbook which is open and free.
