No Free Lunch: Using active and experiential learning with purpose.

Screen Shot 2015-08-06 at 3.13.43 PMThe Centre for Teaching, Learning and Innovation (CTLI) and the Paramedic Academy is offering a workshop on active learning strategies. Getting learners out of their seats and comfort zones is pivotal to providing them an engaging and fulfilling learning experience.  Based on Kolb’s idea that the impetus for the development of new concepts is provided by new experiences, learners who actively work for their lunch are keen and hungry learners who eagerly devour abstract concepts that can be applied flexibly in a range of situations and contexts.

Come and explore some active learning strategies to add to your repertories or to enhance the learner’s experience.
